Supporting Community

in Thornton Heights

Connect. Communicate. Collaborate.

Connect: Meet and get to know our neighbors (monthly meetings, both in-person and on Zoom, as well as neighborhood events, including an annual neighborhood party).

Communicate: Be an active voice representing our neighborhood’s interests to South Portland’s city government.

Collaborate: Work together, clarify concerns, communicate, and meet our common goals.

Mission

Friends of Thornton Heights brings residents together to promote a vibrant and welcoming neighborhood community for all who live and work here.

Members

Anyone who resides or works within the Thornton Heights neighborhood may become a member. There are no membership dues. Friends of Thornton Heights is made possible by the efforts of its volunteers. We welcome all voices.

What I like about our neighborhood is that there are so many kids here. We are always running up and down the street to different houses to find the things we need for the games we like to play.

Really, I don’t just have one home, I have at least three or four homes, places where I know I can go at any time of day and join-in whatever is going on. (At least, before COVID.)
